Mission:

The Glenwood Church of Christ exists to:

 

    Introduce people to God,

        Bring them into His family,

            Grow them to be like Jesus,

                Place them in ministry, that we might

                    Honor God with our whole lives.

 

Focus:

We recognize that different congregations have different personalities and talents that lend themselves to specific kinds of ministry. Based on our history, desire, and talents, as well as, the needs of this community, our congregation has chosen to focus on developing and maintaining families, not just within the congregation, but within the community as well. With this in mind, our focus statement is:  "Our Family Serving Your Family."

 

Objectives Through Our Mission and Focus:

  • Develop spiritual maturity among our members. Spiritual formation or discipleship is a continuous process in the Lord’s church and therefore it stands out prominently in all this congregation’s plans.
  • Develop leadership among the members of this congregation that will support the Lord’s work wherever those people go in this generation and the next.
  • Consistently support and advocate establishment and maintenance of biblically sound family relationships.
  • Create community awareness so that a non-member of this congregation recognizes the name of the Glenwood Church of Christ and some aspect of our ministry within the community.
